Brussels Weave Carpet Paris

Paris is always a fabulous idea!

Steven and the team had the opportunity to visit Paris at the beginning of 2020. Meeting with a customer at their villa in the 16th arrondissement we discussed the design and manufacturing of a traditional Brussels Weave carpet which will be made on one of the oldest carpet looms in the world, the carpet is to run throughout the home and will complement the traditional designs and period of the property.

Brussels Weave carpet originated near to Brussels but many great quality Brussels Weave carpets are to this day manufactured in the UK , Brussels Weave carpet production goes back as far as the 18th Century and was introduce to Axminster in the late 18th, Early 19th Century but for our project we will be using one of the oldest machines and this is located in Brussels, our customer has chosen 5 colours for this particular carpet, it will be made using the finest worsted wool with a floral motive design made in a tight loop pile, we are all very excited to see how this project comes together.
